What to expectWe hope that you enjoy your visit to the Gracie Field Theatre. So that you and our other customers can have an enjoyable time, please take a moment to read the guidelines below.
We politely remind patrons that we operate a zero tolerance policy in relation to abuse to our staff, be it physical or verbal.
The theatre generally opens 1 hour prior to the advertised performance time, with the auditorium opening 30 minutes prior to the advertised peformance time.
LatecomersWe always reccomend you arrive before the advertised starting time of the performance you’re coming to see. If you need to collect or purchase your tickets from Box Office there may be a queue at the last minute. The doors to the auditorium usually open around 30 minutes before the show starts.
You'll here our buzzers letting you know the performance is about to start in the foyer, kiosk and bar areas.
We understand that sometimes lateness is unavoidable, and we will do everything we can to make sure that you can still enjoy your evening. In the event of late arrival a member of the front of house team will allow admission and show you to your seat at a suitable point in the first half of the performance. In the rare circumstances when we cannot permit entry of late arrivals until the the interval it will be clearly marked on your tickets.
IntervalsIntervals vary with each event and on some occasions there are none at all. In the interest of the majority of our customers, latecomers cannot be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.
SmokingThe Gracie Fields Theatre is a non-smoking building. Certain external areas are also non-smoking. Please ask a member of the Front of House team who will direct you to the closest site where smoking is permitted. We ask our customers to refrain from the use of electronic cigarettes in all internal areas of the Gracie Fields as it is potentially disruptive, causes confusion and can be a distraction.
Photography, Video Recording and Electronic EquipmentPlease turn your mobile phone (or any other noisy gadgets) off before you come into the auditorium. Photography in the auditorium is not permitted during the performance. Video cameras and any other audio/video recording devices are not permitted in the auditorium. In very rare circumstances during a private hire of the venue, photography may be permitted. An announcement will be made in this event.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied in the theatre by a responsible adult. For children under the age of 18 months, please view our Babes in Arms policy located in the Booking Info area of our website.
Due to limited space inside the auditorium, we ask our patrons with young babies to secure prams and buggies in the foyer on arrival. A member of our team will be happy to help you with this.
For some performances, there may be a minimum age requirement due to content. This information is always detailed in the What's On page for the performance, advertising and it is also printed on the tickets.
